Descriere
Rare original Timebeam analog projection clock. Curio time piece made in England - in perfect condition. Like new. All original.
Beautiful original 1980's designed Timebeam clock in matte black, in very good condition and working perfectly. Focus is accomplished by moving the U metal bracket. This model is dual mains (clock/light) useful in that the light can be switched off but the clock will still run. The clock is set via a knob on the side of the clock barrel. This barrel loosens and rotates to set the angle of the clock before tightening it at the preferred angle.
The lamp has two settings, low and high.
The clock comes with it's original factory box instructions and original packing foam present. This one have been one of the first going out from factory / item 0058.
It is quite straightforward to set up and I'm happy to make some simple diagrams to help if required.
It has a range of several metres and features a chromatic movement and offering quite a beautiful light display from the clock's chassis. This creates a lovely, patterned warm light in the room.
"Timebeam by Design Limited was a British company founded by Stephen and Anthea Savage, specifically to put a'magic' projection clock on the market.
The Timebeam Classic was a new, innovative product, designed in 1985 by Stephen Savage in order to project the image of a working clock. The idea was first conceived during a brainstorming session with Charles Coster during five long days with little business at the New York Gift Show.
The key to the success of Timebeam was the 'through image´ - method to project the clock image. This unique and complicated design function was never used by competitors, who instead used a reflected image that lacks the intensity and clarity of the Timebeam image. The Classic was copied by different companies, which came and went, but it has remained the world leader and industry pacesetter in clock projection for 30 years.
Material: metal with plastic trim.
Power supply: 220V
Dimensions: approx. 25 x 16 x 23 cm (w x d x h)
Weight: approx. 3 kg
The same model of a similar vintage is kept on display at the National Science Museum.
Another one is kept in Burj Al Arab lobby/reception.
This model was made especially for Philip Morris and it's a unic piece.
I can be contacted at any time for further information, more photos or videos.
I speak Romanian, English and Spanish perfectly.
Provenience: from my father art collection that past away recently.
Can be sent anywhere with proper packageing.
