The Pioneer VSX-609 RDS 5-channel receiver is ideal for hi-fi playback of music
as well as for cinematic movies with the accompanying surround sound.
The Pioneer AV receiver has a metal case that can be accommodated in a hi-fi rack
with the dimensions of 420x158x391 mm and a weight of 8.4 kg.
The Pioneer VSX-609 provides connectivity for CD players and turntables,
two cassette decks, DVD players and two VCRs
as the central interface for receiving and playing music and sound.
Two optical and one coaxial input can also be used to connect digital devices.
The radio receiver on the Pioneer AV receiver is equipped
with an FM / AM tuner that supports RDS (Radio Data System) and radio text.
This allows additional information about the current program
to be displayed in the device display.
The automatic frequency search also allows the tuner to automatically find
and tune in all stations within range.
In addition to a 5.1-channel speaker system, two pairs of stereo speakers
can be connected to the Pioneer AV receiver.
For optimal playback of the 3D sound, the 5.1-channel receiver supports
the separate setting of frequency, distance and volume for each connected box.
This allows the output of the Dolby Surround, Dolby Digital
and DTS formats to be precisely tuned to the viewer's position in the room.
In addition, the 5.1-channel receiver with the Advanced Theater settings
Musical, Drama, Action and Expanded can emulate the acoustics of certain rooms
such as a concert hall or a movie theater during playback.
