This is the japanese domestic market version at 100V so a step-down silent transformer (230V-100V) of min 70W power rating will be included in this offer, so you can use with peace of mind at any plug outlet accross EUROPE.
Somehow similar to the CT-A7 but the head of the (D) version is a more modern Laser Amorphous PB & REC Head instead of the Sendust Ribbon Head of the non-D versions. Also the front Master Rec Vol & Output knobs are a little bit bigger in D version.

It works perfectly as intended, it playbacks and records very well with very little to no audible differences, depending on the tapes you are using, please watch the video demo above!

Pay attention to the opening door technology of Pioneer from 1986 there is a sensor inside the cassette door enclosure that detects when a casaette is inserted and it automatically close the door. However, at that time there were in production mainly solid black/white plastic cassettes so with transparent/translucid cassettes and dependind on the ambient light this automatic closing will not always work, closing the door being made in that cases with the touch of any of the Stop, Playback buttons.
