This 2-speed (33 and 45RPM) record player is a high-quality, belt-driven turntable with a newly developed FG (frequency generator) servo-controlled DC motor with IC. The unit features a fabulous wow, flutter and rumble rating and has low power consumption for greater efficiency. Some other features of the SL 23 include:

Tonearm:
The SL-23 has an S-curved tonearm with a separate headshell assembly to which the stylus cartridge mounts. The headshell slots into the tonearm and locks in place with a simple twist. The balance weight is located on the rear part of the tonearm, and can be twisted so that the tonearm hangs in a neutral horizontal position. The anti-skate mechanism is located to the right of the tonearm mount and used to prevent the tonearm from being pushed or pulled horizontally across the surface of the album. The tonearm has an arm clamp to hold it in place when albums are not being played to avoid damage to the stylus.
Motor:
The SL-23 has a frequency generator DC servo motor which keeps the motor spinning at a constant rate of speed so that the belt and platter rotate at the proper rate. The motor can play at both 33 1/3 rpm and 45 rpm. Pitch control knobs provide 6 percent plus/minus control of the speed, and the built-in strobe indicator on the front can be used to fine-tune the speed via these knobs until 33 1/3 or 45 rpm is precisely achieved.
Size:
The turntable measures 5 5/16 inches high, 16 55/64 inches wide, and 13 45/64 inches deep, and weighs 14.3 pounds. The motor consumes 3 watts of power. The turntable also comes with a dust cover that can be mounted to the rear of the table.
