PDL-AFX-S is not only an extremely convenient wireless follow focus system, but also features a powerful LiDAR autofocus function. Each lens requires a one-time autofocus setup, and stored lens data eliminates the need for repeated adjustments. Up to 5 lens data can be stored, including 5 coloured labels for easy channel identification. Simply calibrate the lens path for automatic retrieval of lens data after each use.
LiDAR automatic range projects a total of 4096 ranges with a 28 degree angle and an actual scanning distance of virtually 4 m. The 0.75 Nm high torque LiDAR motor at 16384 DPI drives different lenses effortlessly. The autofocus function is compatible with manually focused lenses with hard stops or DSLR lenses with depth of field frame. Three adjustable autofocus speeds include high speed sports mode, medium speed standard mode and slow cinema mode. Auto focus distance may be affected in bright sunlight, but can be restored by wearing reflective stickers. In addition, scanning distance is unaffected by lighting or extremely dark environments.
Array focusing technology automatically identifies and tracks the object focus closest or farthest (low speed only) from the LiDAR within the scanning area. When the scanned object moves out of the autofocus area, the motor automatically moves to a position close to infinity until the object is detected again, then it moves to the actual focus distance. When the motor is not connected to Bluetooth and there is no object within the scanning range, it automatically moves to the near-infinite focus point. When no object is within the scanning range, the motor automatically moves to the 5 meter focus point for 5 seconds and then moves to the near-infinite focus point.
Comes with 2 motor batteries that can work up to 8 hours each, and 2 steering wheel batteries that work up to 10 hours each. All batteries are rechargeable, with a charger that can charge both motor batteries at the same time. Also includes a complete set of accessories: a universal lens tooth ring (supports outer diameter from 42mm to 82mm), a 10cm rod with 15mm outer diameter, a 5cm rod with 15mm outer diameter, a 15mm clamp accessories, a 15mm rod adapter and a multifunctional attachment. The product is ready for installation and use when opening.
The small steering wheel allows you to choose between motor autofocus and manual focus control. A simple twist allows you to switch between automatic and manual focus.
