This refractor is sold under the brand names Maxvision and Astronomy Technologies (Astro-Tech), among others.

The Bosma Omega ED102 is a refractor with three lenses (triplet) with an air gap, with a lens made of the special glass material FPL-53 between the "normal" lenses. This means significantly better color correction and therefore higher image sharpness and higher contrast than a refractor without this element with the same aperture. This significantly increases the ability to perceive details, even with deep sky objects. The lens cell is adjustable, but is mechanically fixed by us after we have adjusted the telescope, so that misalignment is ruled out in the long term, even under heavy use.

The eyepiece focuser works according to the Crayford principle. This means smooth focus adjustment. This OAZ is more sensitive than a rack and pinion eyepiece focuser. It is supplied with a 1:10 reduction which makes fine adjustment easier.

The tube is made of high-quality aluminum with a very good paint finish, is provided with sufficient apertures and has a good internal blackening to avoid stray light. The dew cap can be inserted.

The lockable aluminum transport case supplied is very sturdy.
