Vellokrom Mezzopan is a document copy black and white film originally manufactured in romania by the Azopan factory, under the name of Azocopy dn3.

From my tests the film has a lot of base fog and film damage which offers it’s unique characteristics. the iso is around 3-25 but in some cases just shooting in bulb mode even in daylight can deliver better results and can cut through the fog itself.

Being a slow film with a very pronounced look means it’s applications are somewhat limited, but abiding to these limitations you can create unique photographs unsing this film.

A few downsides are that the film has heavy base fog and it is prone to light piping. make sure you are loading and unloading the film in darkness to avoid some of it.

It delivers a strong vintage look to any scene and stands out from other films available today. Remember you’re shooting on a piece of history.

*The film has no dx coding so the exposure and iso have to be set manually.

Please store the film in a cold, dark area. and also load the film in darkness or shade to avoid fogging the first frames.
