Taylor's 416CE is a premium acoustic guitar that doesn't skimp on quality tonewoods or meticulous construction, and yet doesn't feature many of the big-cost extras that are purely their for visual effect. The New Stuff

The 416ce was already an incredible guitar that delivered a focused sound that can be used across most playing styles. Though as technology grows sometimes guitars need an update. So for 2015 Taylor have made sure that the 416ce is as up to date with all of the latest trimmings including their Expression 2 System pickup and preamp. This new pickup design improves volume output and frequency response so you get a better sound live that can easily be run through a PA with no worries about volume.

What makes this system so special is the behind the saddle pickup design which means it responds more to your playing. You will hear nuances and frequencies that were just not picked up by your old guitars under saddle piezo pickup system.

That is not all they changed though. The 416ce now features an all gloss finish that feels great in the hands and makes it extremely easy to play. This change doesn't just change how it plays but how it looks. The gloss finish will look amazing when you are on stage and to make it look even better you also get a set of small pearl dot inlays which are subtle but beautiful.

Built On A Legend

The 416ce is a large bodied grand symphony acoustic that is made with a strummer in mind. It can handle a lot more than that in practice thanks to things like the new ES2 preamp but in terms of feel this is a big ol' guitar made for strumming. with an ovangkol back and sides with sitka spruce top this guitar works great both in and out of the studio so if you are after a guitar you can use all day every day the 400 series may be the right bet.
