"Apollo 8 was the second manned spaceflight mission carried out by the United States Apollo space program. The crew consisted of Frank Borman, James Lovell and William Anders. The patch for the Apollo 8 mission bearing their names can be found at the 9 o'clock position on the dial of this watch. In 1997 Omega celebrated 40 years of the Speedmaster by releasing the Missions Series. This consisted of 22 Speedmasters featuring the logos of NASA's famous space missions and a re-edition of the original moonwatch."
